Personal Chef Gene Gerrard was recently voted one of the Top 5 Personal Chefs in Los Angeles. He caters organic gourmet cuisine for any dinner or cocktail party, weddings, holiday parties and other special events in Orange County and Los Angeles.
He was born and raised on the East Coast and graduated from Wesleyan University. His travels to Russia, France, Italy and Spain influence his cooking style today.
When he’s not catering, Chef Gene presents cooking demonstrations at food shows and conventions. He has been featured in magazine articles about being a personal chef and catering in Newport Beach, Orange County and Los Angeles.
Chef Gene is also a food writer and created About.com’s Meat and Wild Game Cooking website and published hundreds of recipes, interviews, cookbook reviews and blog posts about food trends. He is currently a writer for Your Best Digs, where he tests and reviews the latest and best kitchen appliances
Julia Child was Chef Gene’s culinary muse, and in 1997, he was fortunate to meet her. She praised him as “a fearless chef, which is how a chef should be!”
